Our manufacturing client is busy and are recruiting for a Maintenance Technician. Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor you will; Identify, organize and plan TPM activities,
Performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting and repair activities for mechanical, pneumatic and fluid power components and systems according to required specifications.
Help to remove repair, overhaul, or replace pumps, valves, spray guns, nozzles, hand tools and various cutting machines and equipment.
Help with troubleshooting equipment and machinery problems including programmable controllers (PLC) and electrical/electronic systems to determine failure cause and identify repairs required.
You will help to set up, keep clean and organized the maintenance area to ensure a safe and productive maintenance work area.
You will complete all TPM activities assigned to you safely and on time
You will organize your maintenance activities to minimize production downtime, utilizing breaks and lunches as much as possible
You will work with the Supervisor and the production team to analyze maintenance downtime to identify cause and required corrective action
You will perform unscheduled maintenance work orders (UMW) as assigned in a safe and timely manner
You will assist in the response to all maintenance emergencies
You will help design and manufacture jigs or equipment as required
Contribute to the planning, design, execution and evaluation of equipment fabrication and production improvement projects.
In coordination with the Supervisor you will assist in ordering tools, spare parts and supplies, maintaining acceptable levels of inventory.
As required, you will assist with the installation or relocation of equipment and machinery.
You will participate in the policy deployment process with your Supervisor. You will define the critical few activities and corresponding process performance measures (PPM’s) for your position.
You will ensure that work is conducted in accordance with all relevant safety standards.
